Apolinário visited the VRSA Population Support Zone

Regional coordinator of the fight against Covid-19 also had a meeting with Conceição Cabrita, president of the Chamber of VRSA

José Apolinário, regional coordinator of the fight against Covid-19, visited, this Wednesday, 29 April, the Population Support Zone (ZAP) of Vila Real de Santo António, located in the João Ilídio Setúbal Pavilion. 

Apolinário also had a meeting with Conceição Cabrita, president of the Chamber of VRSA, to learn about the prevention device set up in the municipality..

During the occasion, the mayor listed the measures already developed in the prevention, combat and support to the citizens affected by the pandemic situation and also asked the Secretary of State to continue carrying out tests to users and employees of the council's homes.

The visit was accompanied by Vítor Vaz Pinto, District Operational Commander for Civil Protection, Lieutenant Colonel Bartolomeu and the Municipal Civil Protection Subcommittee of VRSA.

The visit to the VRSA ZAP - which provides 85 beds in proper hygiene and safety conditions and is ready to provide a quick response to possible emergency situations and assistance - was conducted by the Mayor of VRSA, in excellent conditions of the equipment was identified by the delegation as «an exemplary model» in the Algarve region.

In addition to VRSA, the parish of Vila Nova de Cacela also has a Population Support Zone (ZAP), with 47 beds, located in the Municipal Sports Pavilion of Vila Nova de Cacela.
