The General Directorate of Health restricts the sale of paracetamol to one package per person in pharmacies. Chronic patients will be able to dispense usual drugs without a prescription for three months.

The new rules were made known this Saturday and are included in the norm of the General Directorate of Health (DGS) for community pharmacies and over-the-counter drug establishments. In the document, it is determined that the “dispensing of non-prescription drugs to users” is rationed, selling “one package per active substance”. Paracetamol is singled out by DGS, which considers this drug as the first option in the treatment of fever.
