Traffic on highways decreased 75% in recent days

South Highway is one of the biggest breaks

Traffic on Portuguese motorways has suffered, in recent days, a drop of around 75% on average at national level.

Among the motorways where this reduction was felt are the A1, the A2, the A4, the A23 and the A25, stresses the office of the minister of Infrastructure and Housing.

According to a statement that the Sul Informação had access, this "reflects that the Portuguese are complying with the measures adopted by the Government and the advice of the General Directorate of Health, in order to limit their travels to a minimum."

The break is evidenced by comparing demand data recorded in the week ending March 14 and data recorded in the week ending March 22, adds the same ministerial note.
