It wasn't in November, but it will be on Saturday at 22:00. Manel Cruz, vocalist of Ornatos Violeta and several other projects, will be at the Casa do Povo of Santo Estêvão (CPSE), in Tavira, to close the cycle of concerts “Acordes na Aldeia”.
The Portuguese musician, who last year canceled a concert that he had scheduled for the headquarters of the association of Tavir, for health reasons, finally comes to Santo Estêvão to present the concert “Vida Nova”, on the 7th, the date on which the Casa do Povo celebrates 77 years.
«After a hiatus of seven years, “Vida Nova” marks the return of the singer of Ornatos Violeta, Pluto, Foge Foge Bandido and Supernada. This work, with lyrics, music and image by Manel Cruz, is composed of twelve songs, of which the singles “Still not finished”, Dogs and bones” and “O ship dela” stand out, as well as a book», he described the Chamber of Tavira.
“Vida Nova” was composed mostly with a single instrument: the ukulele. «A return to the origins that resulted in a set of songs that allowed him to anticipate the release of new records», adds the municipality.
“Acordes na Aldeia” is an organization of the Casa do Povo of Santo Estêvão, which has the support of the Municipality of Tavira and the Parish Council of Luz and Santo Estêvão.
