“Workers in the private sector and in the public sector will have exactly the same treatment regarding the period necessary for isolation” in the case of coronavirus. The guarantee comes from the Minister of Labor, Ana Mendes Godinho. The government official clarifies that the protocol “provided for in the law for tuberculosis disease” will apply in this case.
Public sector and private sector employees will thus have all their salaries guaranteed by Social Security.
