Covid-19: First infected in São Brás to have contracted the virus in Spain

"The network of contacts is small, which gives us peace of mind"

A man, about 50 years old, resident in the village of São Brás de Alportel, is the first case of Covid-19 in this Algarve municipalityoe will have contracted the virus on a trip to Spain.

The information was Sul Informação by Vítor Guerreiro, Mayor of São Brás. That trip to Spain took place "about three weeks ago" and, since then, the man "has been in voluntary isolation."

"The network of contacts is small, which gives us peace of mind," said the mayor.

The infected person has had "some fever and cough", but the symptoms themselves "have been decreasing", guaranteed Vítor Guerreiro.

This first case, in São Brás, already appears in the bulletin this Sunday, March 29, of the Regional Health Administration (ARS). The Algarve, in total, registers 113 cases of Covid-19.
