Covid-19: Portuguese are worried, anxious but also confident

Marktest's Covid-19 opinion barometer

How do the Portuguese feel during the Covid-19 pandemic? Worried (74%), anxious (42%), but also confident (31%). These are the conclusions of a study promoted by Marktest.

The objective of Marktest's Covid-19 opinion barometer is to monitor, over the next few weeks, «the opinions of the Portuguese, their behavior and perceptions regarding the moment that the country and the world are going through», explains Marktest.

The state of mind of the Portuguese population thus translates into a mixture of concern (74%), anxiety (42%) but also confidence (31%).

«At a time when the new coronavirus has infected more than half a million people around the world, and in Portugal there are already more than 4000 infected, it will be natural that the feeling of concern is the one that most marks the state of mind of the Portuguese . However, we have to be aware of other signs: 22% of Portuguese people show a certain fatigue due to all these circumstances and 17% a certain saturation», says Marktest.

"But not everything is so negative, as 26% say calm and 12% still manage to refer to the good mood as characteristics they maintain at this stage", he concludes.
