Covid-19: 89 cases in Algarve, 20 in Alentejo. Portugal already has 3544

Data from the DGS epidemiological bulletin this Thursday, the 26th

There are already 89 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Algarve and 20 in the Alentejo. The number of infected, nationwide, rose to 3544 and deaths to 60.

According to the daily bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health, there are already 43 people who have recovered from the disease.

In the Algarve, there are 27 more cases than yesterday. In Alentejo, the increase was eight more people diagnosed with the disease. Nationally, the growth was 549.

Of the more than 3500 confirmed cases nationwide, 191 are hospitalized, 61 of which are in intensive care.

 

 

 

 

By region, the North continues to have the most infections (1858), followed by Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (1082), Centro (435), Algarve (89), Azores (24), Alentejo (20) and Madeira (15).

When it comes to deaths, the Algarve still has one and the Alentejo has none. Also here is the North, with 28 deaths, the most affected region, followed by Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (18) and the Center (13).

The distribution of recovered cases is: Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (11), Center (8), North (3).

 

 

 

 

The daily bulletin of the DGS also reveals that there are 2145 people waiting for laboratory results and 14.994 contacts under surveillance by the health authorities.

Since the outbreak began on January 1, there have been 22.257 suspected cases, of which 16568 have not been confirmed.
