Rain should return today to Algarve and Alentejo

Beja and Évora have yellow warnings in effect

The rain should return this Tuesday, March 31, to the Algarve and Alentejo. The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) even issued two yellow warnings due to heavy rainfall for Beja and Évora. 

For these two districts, rain is forecast «heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms». Notices, issued by IPMA, are valid until 18:00 pm today.

Regarding the Algarve, the IPMA has not issued any warning, but it also anticipates precipitation for today. Yesterday, moreover, it rained in the Algarve region.

According to Meteofontes, for today "periods of cloudy skies" are foreseen, as well as some "rain or showers, mainly in the Center and in the South".

There is also “some possibility of thunderstorm in the southern interior during the afternoon” and “moderate to strong wind from the East”.

The minimum temperatures will be around 8ºC in the Algarve, 7ºC in Alentejo, 6ºC in Vale do Tejo, 4ºC in the North Coast and -1ºC in the interior North and 0ºC in the interior Centre.

As for the maximum, «15ºC in the Algarve, 17ºC in the Alentejo, 16ºC in the Tagus Valley, 10ºC in the North Coast and 8ºC in the North interior and 9ºC in the Center interior».
