The Immunohemotherapy Service of the University Hospital Center of the Algarve (CHUA) has changed the places where you can donate your blood, in Faro and Portimão.
As of today, blood donations will be carried out in the following places: in Faro, in the premises of the Sporting Clube Farense stadium, where SYNLAB – Clinical Analysis Laboratory operates, and in Portimão, in the Barlavento Algarvio Blood Donors Association.
The purpose of this change is also to reduce hospital visits at this time of the Covid-19 pandemic.
To make the donations, schedule an appointment through the telephones 289 891 275 (Faro) and 282 450 341 (Portimão), it is important that donors comply with the assigned appointment time.
The new donation sites are the result of a partnership with Sporting Clube Farense and the Association of Blood Donors of the Barlavento Algarvio, "which have shown solidarity with the Algarve's public hospitals since the beginning," says CHUA.
