The PSD's Parliamentary Group will deliver a request for the Health Commission to hear Minister Marta Temido on the state of health in the Algarve.

This application will also ask for hearing from the Medical Association, the Independent Union of Physicians, the National Federation of Physicians and the Board of Directors of the Centro Hospitalar Universitário do Algarve.

«The deterioration of the situation in which the National Health Service finds itself in the Algarve region, currently being an absolutely undeniable fact, is already, perhaps, one of the most glaring evidences of the failure of the Socialist Party's governance in the health sector in the last four years”, the application reads.

This situation has contributed not only to the «lack of public investment and the postponement of the construction of new hospital equipment, the long waiting times for patients for consultations and surgeries, but also the degradation of the operating and working conditions that currently exist. take place at the University Hospital Center of the Algarve».
