The new GNR Territorial Post in Almancil will be inaugurated tomorrow, Friday, the 14th, in a ceremony that will be attended by Eduardo Cabrita, Minister of Internal Administration, and Lieutenant General Rui Manuel Clero, 2nd General Commander of GNR
A new home of the soldiers of this security force in this location in the municipality of Loulé is located at Rua Cristóvão Pires Norte.
Its construction was financed by the Municipality of Loulé, under an inter-administrative cooperation contract. signed in 2016, which stipulated that the municipality would pay the 1,1 million euros necessary to carry out the work, which would later be reimbursed by the central government.
«The Territorial Post of Almancil has 26 soldiers and has unique structural and location conditions that significantly increase the GNR's capacity to support citizens in the parish of Almancil, spread over a total area of 62,30 Km², serving a population of 10 677 inhabitants», framed the GNR.
