Measure supports landscape and environmental preservation actions in the interior of the Algarve

Eligible investments must be greater than 5 thousand euros and less than 200 thousand

The deadline for applications has already opened for a measure to support initiatives aimed at preserving, preserving and enhancing local heritage, landscape and environmental elements of parishes in the interior of the municipalities of Faro, Loulé, Albufeira, Olhão, São Brás de Alportel, Silves and Tavira.

According to In Loco, the managing entity, "the applications submitted must pursue the objective of preserving, preserving and enhancing the local heritage, landscape and environmental elements, as well as the elements that constitute intangible cultural and social heritage of the territories".

The intervention typology is related to «investments in the recovery and improvement of local, landscape and environmental heritage of collective interest and its equipping or signage for landscape, environmental and agro-tourism itineraries».

It may also help to prepare and disseminate “documentary material relating to the heritage targeted for intervention, including awareness raising actions, production and editing of publications or videographic and phonographic records with contents relating to intangible heritage and other investments relating to intangible heritage”.

We speak, for example, of the «acquisition of costumes, inventory studies of rural heritage, as well as the ancient “know-how” of artisans, traditional arts, oral literature and the survey of cultural, traditional, immaterial, individual and collectives'.

Eligible investments must be greater than €5 and less than €200.

«The expected support is 80% of the eligible investment, in the form of a non-refundable subsidy», explains in Loco.

The investments must be located in the territory of the Interior Algarve Central, which covers the following parishes: Guia and Paderne (Albufeira), Santa Bárbara de Nexe, Conceição and Estoi (Faro), Alte, Ameixial, Boliqueime, Salir, São Sebastião and Querença, Tôr and Benafim (Loulé), Pechão and Moncarapacho and Fuzeta (Olhão), São Brás de Alportel, São Bartolomeu de Messines and São Marcos da Serra (Silves) and, finally, Cachopo, Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo and Luz de Tavira and Santo Estêvão (Tavira).
