Man fell «in an area of ​​difficult access»

A 39-year-old scavenger, who broke his foot when he fell on a cliff in Sagres, had to be transported by helicopter this Monday, February 10, to the Hospital de Faro. 

Ao Sul Informação, source of the District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) of Faro he explained that the man fell "in an area of ​​difficult access", near Praia do Telheiro.

The alert was given at 10:10 am, but the rescue took "several hours and forced the call of a rescue team at a wide angle," added the same source.

The man was rescued and transported by helicopter, with minor injuries, to the Hospital de Faro.

In this occurrence, 22 operatives and five vehicles from the National Maritime Authority, Firefighters and INEM were involved.
