South Rally Championship 2020 starts to accelerate in Loulé

Loulé Rally has the “Ecoevent” seal by Algar

The first race of the South Rally Championship 2020 goes out on the road on the 14th and 15th of March in the municipality of Loulé. The Loulé Rally «will serve as a gateway» to the sporting season of rally practitioners in the South.

The competition will be held on the stretches of land delineated in the Serra do Caldeirão, in the parishes of Ameixial (advised areas for the public in Corte de Ouro and Besteiros) and Salir (advised areas for the public in Cortelha and Barrigões).

The race starts on the 14th, Saturday, with the arrival of the competitors at Ameixial, where the base of the rally will be located, to carry out the recognition of the classifications and the administrative and technical checks.

On the 15th, the competitive part will take place, in the morning, and then, in the early afternoon, the fastest and the survivors will be enshrined in the final podium of the race.

The Clube Automóvel do Algarve, which organizes the rally, emphasizes that this year, «being one of the oldest and most charismatic races on the calendar of this competition», has «the particularity of being the first exclusive race of the Southern Rally Championship to be obtained. the “Eco-event” seal on the part of Algar, which will result in the sale of waste collection material to competitors, as well as in the placement of containers for differentiated waste in the areas recommended for the public».

The Loulé 2020 Rally is organized by the Clube Automóvel do Algarve, under the aegis of the Portuguese Federation of Automobile and Karting, with the support of the Municipality of Loulé, Parish Council of Ameixial, Parish Council of Salir, Algar, Solverde Casinos and Hotels, Medronhito do Caldeirão, Algarpneus, Acrimolde, Infrastructures of Portugal and ICNF.
