Two serious injuries and one minor resulted from the collision of a lorry with a lifting platform with two workers on top of it, who were intervening at a traffic light yesterday, at around 16 pm, on EN00, near Ponte Romana, in Silves.
Second revealed to Sul Informação the District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) of Faro, «the three wounded were transported to the hospital in Portimão».
Witnesses at the scene said the men had been knocked off the platform, with the force of the heavy goods collide with the structure.
There were 16 operatives at the site, supported by eight vehicles, from the Fire Department of Silves, GNR and INEM.
