You have 3 more days to see Edgar Pêra's exhibition at Galeria Trem de Faro

Exhibition allows immersion in a universe as unique as Edgar Pêra's

Due to the large influx of public that has been verified, the exhibition Lisbon Revisited by Edgar Pêra was extended until the 25th of January, thus giving the opportunity to visit all interested parties.

Lisbon Revisited is a sample of anaglyphic photography (3D), by Edgar Pêra. It is one of the ingredients of the Cineclube de Faro Zoom In: Edgar Pera, dedicated to the work of this multifaceted artist/filmmaker, and which is also part of the cycle dedicated to contemporary art Prayers to chase away storms, evil insects, etc. (2019/2020), organized by Artadentro, in collaboration with the Municipal Museum of Faro and with the support of the FCHS-Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of the University of Algarve.

The 3D photography exhibition was born from a double approach by Edgar Pêra to Álvaro de Campos' poem “Lisbon Revisited” (1926), which resulted in the production of homonyms film and series of photographs.

As Ana Isabel Soares mentions, in the supporting text for the exhibition, the photographs respond to the “need to emphasize the multivocal character, of kaleidoscopic fascination of the Pessoa enunciation and, at the same time, the walk through the many urban avenues that Lisboa do verb opens to the reader." Now result in this show in which each photograph, “although extracted from stills of the film, achieves the autonomy of an isolated work."

A Lisbon Revisited which is presented at the Trem gallery, together with the other initiatives included in this Zoom In, will allow you to discover the work of one of the greatest Portuguese artists of our time, and will provide the possibility of immersing yourself in a universe as unique as that of Edgar Pêra.
