Aljezur will have theater on Saturdays, in various spaces in the municipality, in the parishes of Odeceixe, Rogil and Aljezur. The first session is scheduled for February 15, with the play Matematicomania, by Companhia de Teatro Educa.
The Chamber of Aljezur emphasizes that «the theater itself is fundamental for the cultural formation of any people because it shows us the culture and form of
think of a particular time and social context. Theater also makes us laugh or cry, it depends on the plays that are on display, but above all it makes us Think».
It is for this reason, among others, that the municipality, "in order to continue the cycle of theatrical presentations started in 2019 and aimed at children, young people and families, a set of titles were selected, covering the age groups intended for direct, and with themes not only didactic but also adaptable to dates that we intend to commemorate».
On February 15th, he takes to the stage “Matematicomania” by Companhia de Teatro Educa. On the 7th of March, celebrating World Women's Day, the play “À Espera de Godot” is presented by Companhia Rituals Dell Arte.
On the 18th of April, as part of the 25th of April Celebrations, he takes to the stage “25th of April – History of a Revolution”, by the Educa Theater Company.
On the 7th of May, also by the Educa Theater Company, the play “Poesia is not as rare as it seems…” is presented.
On June 1st, to celebrate World Children's Day, the company Rituais Dell Arte presents, in two sessions, the classic musical “A Branca de Neve” and, on July 4th, the same company presents “Os Dias da Rádio” .
“Between us and Words”, by Pedro Lamares, in a production by Maria Miguel Coelho, arrives in Aljezur on October 31st and the 2020 season ends with Trica Larica by Companhia Rituais Dell Arte.
Entrance to the shows are free. The places where the shows will take place have not yet been announced by the Aljezur Chamber.
