Festa das Chouriças is back in Querença

One of the highlights is the (always very lively) auction

The already traditional Chorizo ​​Party, in Honra de S. Luís, is back next Sunday, January 19, to Querença, in the interior of the municipality of Loulé.

The event will start the day before, January 18, with a grandiose night of fado, which will take place at Casa do Povo in Querença, at 21 pm.

The fado singers Melissa Simplício and Filipa Nobre and the fado singer Luís Manhita, accompanied on the Portuguese guitar by Valentim Filipe and on the viola by Tiago Valentim, will liven up the party.

On Sunday, the 19th, from 11:00 am and in the afternoon, you will be able to taste the grilled sausages in the various establishments in Querença, some located in Largo da Igreja.

At 15:00 pm, the performance of Grupo Coral and Instrumental Costa Azul. At 16 pm, the usual and always lively chorizo ​​auction will start, where you can participate and buy the queen of the party: the chorizo.

The religious celebration will begin at 17 pm, with a mass at the Ermida do Pé da Cruz, presided over by Father Carlos Matos, which will be followed by a solemn procession with the image of S. Luís to the Church of Nossa Senhora da Assunção.

There will be, from 10:00 am to 18:00 pm, a small market with exhibition and sale of handicrafts and local products, representative of our region.

From 19 pm onwards, the ball will begin in the Casa do Povo de Querença Ballroom, animated by accordionist Silvino Campos.

During the event there will be entertainment for children by Palhaça Pirolita and street entertainment by the Casa da Cultura de Loulé.

This is an initiative promoted by the Parish Festival Commission, with the support of the Union of Parishes of Querença, Tôr and Benafim, the Municipality of Loulé and the Casa do Povo of Querença.
