Show brings together poetry, dance and music

The show “Diz-me António”, a dance, music and poetry project inspired by the universe of the poet António Aleixo, will go on stage in the Castro Marim Library auditorium on Saturday, the 18th, at 21 pm.

“Diz-me António” is a tribute to António Aleixo's work and to the 120th anniversary of his birth that “brings together three creators/interpreters in a performance to reflect the Algarvian poet in a combination of movement, word and music”, according to Câmara de Castro Marim.

Those who participate in the workshop “Word and Movement”, which takes place on the same day, at 11:00 am, at the Municipal Library will also climb onto the stage. Interested parties should register by email [email protected].

The local authority also emphasizes the carrying out of «a special tour dedicated to the popular poet and his time», which «includes visits to some of the most emblematic historical and cultural spaces in Castro Marim», according to the Castro Marim City Council.

Anyone wishing to register for this tour, which passes by the Revelim de St. António, the Parish Church of N. Sra. dos Mártires, the Casa do Sal and the Municipal Library, should send an email to [email protected] (with the subject “ Tour António Aleixo”).
