Algfuturo takes the debate on water shortage in the Algarve to Lagos

Association says it is urgent to take decisions to address the water shortage

Algfuturo will take the debate on the lack of water in the Algarve to Lagos, in a session that will be held this Saturday, January 25, at 15 pm, in the City Hall building. The mayors of Lagos, Aljezur and Vila do Bispo and Paulo Águas, dean of the University of Algarve will participate in this debate.

Algfuturo considers “it is urgent to take decisions, so that the Algarve produces more and more wealth and jobs”, overcoming “possible water problems that make us regress”.

The association emphasizes that "the populations are increasingly aware of the situation and want to participate, so the debates are advancing, now in Lagos, aimed at the municipalities of Lagos, Aljezur and Vila do Bispo."

In previous sessions, stresses Algfuturo, "everything has been scalped, and now the main problem is the extreme urgency of action, as time passes, there is no rain and the dams are much lower than in previous years".

Therefore, the association makes “a vehement appeal to the public authorities and in particular to the members of the Government politically linked to the Algarve, deputies, mayors, Municipal Assemblies, Parish Assemblies and Boards, so that, with a single voice and with civil society make yourself one sprint that leads to the immediate start of projects and works».
