Silves will host the campaign for blood collection and bone marrow registration “Together we help (+)” on December 20, between 9:30 am and 13:00 pm, in the building of the Humanitarian Association of Voluntary Firefighters of Silves (AHBVS).
The initiative, organized by the Municipality of Silves in partnership with the AHBVS, the Barlavento Algarvio Blood Donors Association (ADSBA), the University Hospital Center of the Algarve and the Portuguese Institute of Blood and Transplantation, aims to «sensitize the community to the need for strengthening of the blood reserves in our hospitals and to appeal to the spirit of solidarity of young people regarding the importance of blood donation”, according to the municipality.
