The official inauguration of the expansion works of the Fire Brigade Headquarters of Portimão, is scheduled for 15:30 this Sunday, December 1st, followed by a visit to the new facilities, which will be chaired by the Secretary of State for Internal Administration, Patrícia Gaspar.
The inauguration, which takes place within the scope of the celebrations of the 93rd anniversary of the Humanitarian Association of Voluntary Firefighters of Portimão, will also include the delivery of means and resources to the Firefighters of Portimão and individual protection equipment to the peace soldiers, as well as the inauguration of means of aquatic intervention (a semi-rigid and three boats).
The expansion works of the headquarters, which represented an investment of 625 thousand euros, were financed by 85% by the Cohesion Fund, with the national component (15%) being supported by the Municipality of Portimão (94 thousand euros). The supplementary work was supported by the Humanitarian Association.
