LIGHT already lit in Faro

Festival runs until Saturday

O LUZA – Algarve International Light Festival started, this Thursday, the illuminate Faro. The event, which takes place for the first time in the capital of the Algarve, after two editions in Loulé, runs until Saturday. The works can be seen from 18:30 pm.

The festival started at the Doca de Faro, with the work Mr. Hope, by the collective ByBeau and LedsControl, which sought to convey a message of hope for the future of the planet. About a hundred people attended at this time. The cold and the game of the National Team, at the Algarve Stadium, will have away more public.

From this moment on, the remaining works, located between the Doca and Vila Adentro, were activated. All these facilities have free entry and can be visited without interruption, between 18:30 and 0:00.

On the first day, one of the works that generated the most curiosity from the public (composed by many Spanish and French), is called Keys of Light, by the Dutch collective Mr. Beam and allows you to interact with the façade of the Cathedral, through the keys of a piano.

The Town Hall, the Manuel Bivar Garden, the Arco da Vila façade and the Municipal Museum of Faro or the Ciência Viva Centre, are some of the spaces that host artistic installations.

However, the LUZA nerve center is installed in Fábrica da Cerveja, where you can visit various works inside.

It is also in this space that, this Friday and tomorrow, Saturday, a after party. Access is done through the purchase of a daily bracelet for 5 euros. The animation will be in charge of the Icelandic DJ A Elliot, who promises to bring guests.
