The young Algarvean Catarina Pires, aged 17, was selected to participate in the Prix de Lausanne, a renowned ballet event that takes place from February 2nd to 9th, in Montreaux, Switzerland.
Catarina Pires was a dancer at the Algarve Dance Company, but has studied at the Tanz Academie in Zurich since she was 14 years old.
The young woman was selected among 377 applicants to participate in this prestigious award.
There will be two other Portuguese to participate.
