Jorge Palma brings two “Expressos do Autumn” to Faro

Jorge Palma spoke with the Sul Informação

Jorge Palma will make "a long journey" through his repertoire, with a novelty and surprises in the way, in the concert he will star in tomorrow, Saturday, November 2, at 21 pm, at Teatro das Figuras, in Faro.

The Portuguese musician will be in the Algarve capital as part of the “Expresso do Autumn” tour, which started a year ago, and revealed in an interview with Sul Informação, which will present a novelty at tomorrow's concert.

«I'm going to present the song “Expresso do Autumn”, which still needs some harmonic changes, which will be resolved in the Teatro das Figuras concert», announced Jorge Palma.

This is one of the seven songs that the musician has written since the release of this tour and that will feature on the new album, which is already in preparation.

Tomorrow, Jorge Palma intends to provide the Algarve public with what «everyone expects when they go to a concert: that it be good!».

«These concerts cover my entire career as a composer and interpreter of songs. We created an alignment that takes into account the dynamics of the show, contrasting themes and timbres, from solo, duet and trio performances, to the combination of all seven elements of the group», he framed.

In this way, the public will be able to count on songs such as “Estrela do Mar”, “Canção de Lisboa”, “Dá-me Lume”, “Frágil”, “Dormia Tão Sossegada”, “Jeremias”, “Portugal, Portugal” and “ A Gente Vai Continuar”, among others.

As for surprises, they "always exist and this is an attractive factor in any adventure".

This tour turns out to be a reminder of the past, for Jorge Palma, who confesses to feeling “nostalgia for trains and travel. This imagery reminds me of the times when I played in subway and train carriages throughout Europe. Also, the tour was thought to debut after the summer, a year ago. It all started in the fall of 2018 and we are on the final stretch».

After all, “Expresso do Autumn” only has three more concerts: tomorrow's, in Faro, one at Coliseu de Lisboa (14th November) and the last one at CAE da Figueira da Foz (14th December).

Also in Jorge Palma's memory are the many passages through the Algarve, namely through Faro. Although he confesses that it is difficult to pinpoint a specific moment, the musician remembers the night he performed “Só”, on the 25th anniversary tour, in December 2016, at Teatro das Figuras, «when, as always, I found the an attentive, generous and enthusiastic public in the Algarve».

Now that it's back to Faro, Jorge Palma jokingly wishes that «certain readers of Sul Informação don't feel any pity for not having been at the concert».

On stage, in addition to Jorge Palma, will be Pedro Vidal (guitars and musical direction), Gabriel Gomes (accordion), Vicente Palma (guitar and keyboards), Nuno Lucas (bass), Tomás Pimentel (blows) and João Correia (drums).

Tickets for the show cost 25 euros for the first audience and 20 euros for the 2nd audience, with a 20% discount for seats with reduced mobility and their accompanying persons.
