Scientific research on Balsa is the subject of a conference in Luz de Tavira

Archeologists João Pedro Bernardes and Celso Candeias, as well as art historian Marco Sousa Santos are the guests

The research project that is trying to discover the secrets of the ancient Roman city of Balsa will be made known in a session that will take place tomorrow, Saturday, the 16th, at 15 pm, in the Salão Nobre of the Parish Council of Luz de Tavira e Santo Stephen.

The session “Balsa, Roman city of Luz de Tavira: current research perspectives” will feature archaeologists João Pedro Bernandes, from the University of Algarve, and Celso Candeias, from Câmara de Tavira, who coordinated the excavations in search of a ferry held recently at Quinta da Torre d'Aires, and Marco Sousa Santos, art historian at the University of Coimbra.
