"Riding a Meteor" tells the story of a meteorite lost in the Fortress of Sagres

Concert will be listened to via wifi headphones

The musical project “Riding a Meteor” will perform at the Fortaleza de Sagres, on October 12th, at 19:30 pm, within the scope of the DiVaM program – Dynamization and Valorization of Monuments, of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.

«A multidisciplinary project where music, light points and cinematographic concepts create unique environments, in “Riding a Meteor” the word travel is the key», explains the Regional Directorate of Culture.

«Telling the story of a meteorite lost in the galactic void that is suddenly attracted by another celestial body, exploring concepts such as the characteristics of the various layers, textures, temperatures and pressures existing in the atmosphere, exploring the character's thoughts and sensations, the public is led to reflect on their own experiences», adds the entity.

The fortress of Sagres, the stage, «will function as the point of union between space and the spectator, bringing the galactic universe closer to the social and human being that we are».

The conceptual development of this show is by Luís Caracinha, Rui Guerreiro and Mónica Brazuna. On stage will be António Barradinhas (vocals), Bárbara Santos (cello), Davis Sousa (keys and synthesizers), Gabriel Costa (bass), Ivo Ferreira (guitar), Luis Caracinha (guitar and synthesizers) and Rúben Azevedo (drums).

The concert (outdoors) will be heard by the public through wi-fi headphones, allowing mobility within a radius of 20 meters.

Entry and participation is free, but limited to 100 people, with mandatory registration and validation here.

The Regional Directorate of Culture recommends “the use of warm and comfortable clothes, windbreakers, torches and pillows (if you want to sit more comfortably)”.

The organization emphasizes that, if the weather conditions are adverse, the concert will be rescheduled and the new date will be indicated as early as possible».

The concert is produced by Club Farense and Epopeia – Make It Happen and is part of the DiVaM – Dynamization and Valorization of Monuments program – an initiative of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.
