A more spacious car, with a new design and a unique engine. Here is the new Nissan Juke, vehicle presented this Tuesday, October 15th, in Faro, and which also incorporates cutting edge technologies.
Above all, this is a car with more space, one of the main criticisms addressed to the previous model.
“We tried to satisfy what people complained about in the previous car: above all, the lack of interior space. The car has grown about 10 centimeters, has more space in the luggage compartment, which already allows comparison with a car from the above segment», explained Pedro Pescadinha, Entreposto's commercial manager in the Algarve, to the Sul Informação.
The exterior design itself was also changed, lightening “the most aggressive part of the previous model”. The new Juke features, for example, LED taillights.
In addition, it also has a floating roof, which allows for a certain optical illusion: the car's pillars are all in black, creating the impression that there is nothing supporting the car's roof.
In the more technical part, the vehicle has the characteristic of bringing a single engine, 1000 cubic centimeters and with a turbo, 117 horsepower, gasoline, with two options: manual transmission, with six speeds, or automatic, with seven.
“We think this engine is enough for coverage, because the Juke itself has three driving modes: eco, sports and the normal. The demand, in the segment, in the area of the diesel engine, is very low, therefore, for this car, being also semi-city, the option for gasoline is clear», explained Pedro Pescadinha to our newspaper.
At a technological level, the vehicle is also at the “vanguard”. It has, for example, a 360º camera for parking, as well as equipment that allows the reading of lanes, traffic signs or the recognition of pedestrians or cyclists that may appear on the way.
For now, there are already three cars sold in the Algarve…purchased even before the presentation.
“We are counting on making car deliveries at the end of November, beginning of December. At that time, we will also make another presentation with the possibility of driving the vehicle», said Pedro Pescadinha.
In this SUV segment, the Juke will compete «with 20 or 24 players», from other brands, but this is a car «that will be at the level of the best», he guaranteed.
«Our expectations, due to the car being bigger, are to do even a little better than last year because this is a vehicle that already covers another lane of public, too», considered Pedro Pescadinha.
The car was launched with a minimum price of 17.400 euros, but a car with all the technological equipment can reach close to 30 euros.
