At this time, whoever goes to see games of the I or II Division of the District Championship of the Algarve, will not pay more than 2,5 euros for the ticket. The measure wants to bring more fans to the stadiums.

This is, for the Football Association of the Algarve, «a courageous measure, worthy of applause, which intends to bring back to the stadiums and fields of the region many supporters who left in recent years».

The idea is also to return «to the football games of our senior levels a party atmosphere».

The Algarve Football Association welcomes «the decision taken by the clubs, who sacrifice some revenue for the promotion and enhancement of the competition, in an effort that also takes into account the meager resources of many enthusiasts of the sport, now with tickets at a more affordable price'.

In the 2018/19 season, 2,5 euros was the minimum ticket price (and 5 euros the maximum).

The direction of the Football Association of the Algarve says that it is also studying "the application of other measures, as part of an action program aimed at bringing more people to the region's sports venues."
