An exhibition that makes known the people of Silvenses who participated in World War I is on display, until 31 October, at the Junta de Freguesia do Algoz.
The show features a list divided by parishes, which includes the name of the combatant, rank and service he performed, the date of embarkation and disembarkation in Lisbon and observations, how he received praise, whether he was medaled and decorated, whether he was injured, whether he participated at the Battle of La Lys and still died in combat.
This exhibition is itinerant and that parishes such as Pêra, São Marcos da Serra and Alcantarilha have already hosted it, and it should reach the county's other parish seats this year. During the month of November, the exhibition will be on display at the Tunes Parish Council.
