The candidates of the Aliança party, from the constituency of the Algarve, will end the campaign this Friday, 4th of October, with initiatives in Tavira and Vila Real de Santo António.

“We have been carrying out a campaign to get closer to the population, listening to people, their problems and concerns. Also at our request, we were received by the mayors of Vila do Bispo, Silves, Albufeira, Faro, Lagoa and Monchique, whom we thank for sharing the concrete needs of each municipality. The Algarve presents realities completely different from Sotavento and Barlavento», says Telmo Martins, head of the party's list.

In a statement, Aliança regrets that AMAL – Algarve Intermunicipal Community “has not responded to the request for a meeting”.

“We talked to who knows. To this end, we met with the dean of the University of Algarve and the director of the Masters in Medicine, as well as with the Medical Association to talk about health problems in the Algarve region. As for justice, the Alliance met on equal terms, with the three candidate lists for the regional council of Faro the Bar Association”, also refers Telmo Martins.

The party says that its "bastions are justice for all and the fight against corruption."

“We cannot continue to live in a country with one justice for the rich and another for the poor. As for the fight against corruption, Aliança Algarve defends the creation of autonomous entities that monitor, in a permanent and preventive manner, the management of the public treasury», says Telmo Martins.

Health and mobility «are transversal problems throughout the Algarve and, defended by Aliança, which defends the immediate abolition of the tolls on the A22 (Via do Infante), the urgent need to requalify the EN125 and improve the railway, as well as the need for a Central Hospital» .

The Alliance also says it wants to "gain parliamentary representation".
