Portimão promotes Paralympic Day with 8 modalities for everyone to try

Organization of the Paralympic Committee of Portugal, in partnership with the Portimão Chamber

Handball and Wheelchair Basketball, Boccia, Paracanoeing, Paracycling, Judo, Table Tennis and Adapted Sailing are the modalities that everyone can try on the 26th of September, in Portimão, on the Municipal Paralympic Day.

The athletes Joana Santos, from Judo, Jorge Pina, from Athletics, Luís Costa, from Paracycling, and Norberto Mourão, from Paracanoagem, will be presenting these eight sports for free trial.

This is an organization of the Paralympic Committee of Portugal, in partnership with the Municipality of Portimão.

Inserted in the context of the European City of Sport – Portimão 2019 and the European Sport Week, the event takes place in the Marina de Portimão area, with eight sports guided by specialized technicians and available for free trial by the general public between 10 and 16 hours.

The opening ceremony, scheduled to start at 10 am, has the confirmed presence of the Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, João Paulo Rebelo, the Mayor of Portimão, Isilda Gomes, and the president of the Paralympic Committee of Portugal , José Manuel Lourenço.
