Telmo Martins as head of the list and Pedro Xavier, former councilor of the Portimão Chamber and dissident of the PSD, as number two, are the highlights of the list of the Aliança party by the electoral constituency of Faro to the Legislative Elections, which was delivered on Tuesday at the Court of Faro.
In addition to Telmo Martins, a jurist by profession and regional party coordinator, and Pedro Xavier, economist and coordinator of the Portimão municipality of Aliança, the list of staff is complete with Rosa Maria Sá (businesswoman, Loulé), Filipe Neto Lopes (lawyer, Tavira), Dina Silva (psychologist, Portimão), Afonso de Lousada (student, Quarteira), Vanda Gonçalves (human resources manager , Lagos) Fabio Mendes (lawyer, Faro) and Katy Xavier (lawyer, Tavira).
As alternates, the list includes José Gil (businessman, Monchique), Sandra Jesus (administrative, Faro), António Sequeira (psychologist, Lagos), Elisa Silva (businesswoman, Faro) and José Nunes (civil engineer, Portimão).
This last substitute, José Nunes, is also the district representative of Aliança.
The party headed by Pedro Santana Lopes promises to present “concrete measures to defend the greatest interests of the region”, which will involve “the commitment to compliance, proximity to the population, health, combating corruption, economic development, mobility, education, environment and combat the poor".
The list of Aliança pelo Algarve was even presented, despite Odília Lopes, which was the party's first choice, at central level, to head the list for the Algarve, having moved away, with messages to those who "crave the spotlight" and "enhance their personal ego".
Odília Lopes had already been chosen for replace another candidate who slammed the door and walked away from the party, in this case Cláudia Gonçalves, who was the original Algarvian candidate for the European elections, at a time when she was the coordinator of the party in the Algarve.
