Barnacles and other sea delicacies "jump" to the table in Vila do Bispo

Perceve Festival showcases the typical cuisine of Vila do Bispo

The flavors of the sea, with the barnacle at the head, will be highlighted in Vila do Bispo between August 30th and September 1st, in a new edition of the Perceve Festival, which will take place at the Pavilhão da Escola EB 2,3 de S. Vincent.

Over three days, some typical Costa Vicentina delicacies will be served, including the delicacies that give the festival its name, but also mussels, cuttlefish feijoada, grilled limpets, fried moray eel, razor clams, octopus salad, shrimp, mussel porridge and fried cuttlefish, among others.

In addition to gastronomy, there is also musical entertainment. On the 30th, the band “Undercover Agents for the Blues” and Humberto Silva take to the stage. On Saturday, August 31st, it is Sons do Mira and Paulo Coelho's turn to perform. For the last day, September 1st, the performances of the Rancho Folclórico de Odiáxere, by Marco Campaniça e os Amigos and by Cláudio Rosário are scheduled.

The venue will be open between 13:00 and 00:00, on the three days of the event.

The event is organized by the Association of Seafood Collectors of Vila do Bispo and has the support of the City Council.
