Malfunction stopped INEM helicopters from Loulé and Évora

Half the country was without air medical assistance last Saturday night

Due to a breakdown and the limited working hours of the pilots, the INEM helicopters in Loulé and Évora did not take off.

Requests for the transport of seriously ill patients from the Algarve to Lisbon had to be secured by ambulance.

Babcock, responsible for maintaining the propellers, assured RTP that the devices were unavailable at different times, but recognizes that there were constraints.
