The Arts and Flavors of Our Land Exhibition returns to the Churchyard of the Igreja Matriz in Mexilhoeira Grande on the 9th, 10th and 11th of August. The 18th edition of Mostra once again brings together and exhibits the best that regional sweets and snacks have to offer, along with traditional arts and crafts.
«Regional sweets, cakes, honey and derivatives, snacks, ornamental arts and handicrafts are some of the proposals that visitors will be able to find throughout these three days, where it is expected, equally, a lot of fun and music for all tastes», highlights the Portimão Chamber.
The event, which opens on August 9th at 18 pm, has a musical program that starts at 00 pm, with Ricardo Alves, followed by the Grupo de Cantares do CIRM, at 20:00 pm. Friday night will end with a lot of humor with the show “Giletes d'Aço”, scheduled for 20:30.
On August 10, the event opens at 16:00 pm and, at 19:00 pm, there will be exhibitions of the classes of the Mexilhoeirense Instruction and Recreation Club (Rhythmic Gymnastics, Ballet, Class “in Motion” and Zumba of the CIRM), from IJKA-Portugal (International Japan Karate Association) and ADKP (Combat Sports Academy of Portimão).
At 21 pm, the Churchyard receives the performance of the Popular Marches of the CIRM and invited Marches that "brightened during the time of the Popular Saints in the municipality". The musical entertainment continues with the performance of the singer Mokika, who «promises a night of great celebration and entertainment among those present», at around 00 pm.
On Sunday, August 11th, the musical entertainment starts at 19 pm, with the artist Marco António, and at 00 pm, there is Cante Alentejano with the Grupo Brasa Doirada.
The XVII Exhibition of Arts and Flavors of Our Land has free entry and is organized by CIRM – Clube de Instrução e Recreio Mexilhoeirense, with the support of the Municipality of Portimão, the Parish Council of Mexilhoeira Grande and Sagres beer.
