National kickboxing athletes will face each other this Saturday, July 13, at the “Summer Fight Night”, scheduled for 19:30 pm, at the Polidesportivo Municipal de São Brás de Alportel.
The event started this Friday, July 12th, at 19:30 pm, with the weighing session and presentations of the athletes scheduled for the Mar Shopping Algarve.
On Saturday, the 13th, from 20:00, the Polidesportivo Municipal receives the Kickboxing Gala “Summer Fight Night”.
The event will be attended by athletes from the team representing the Algarve, as well as from Sporting Clube de Portugal.
This is an event where amateur, neo-professional and professional athletes participate, organized by the Martial Arts Club of São Brás de Alportel and supported by the City Council and Parish Council of São Brás de Alportel and the Museu do Traje
Founded in 1985, the Martial Arts Club of São Brás de Alportel officially became an association in 1993.
Since 1985, hundreds of athletes of all ages have passed through the club.
All of them trained by Master Rui Oliveira who. in addition to teaching them combat techniques, he also taught them respect, companionship, and the will to win. Many titles have already been won at galas, national and regional championships, and which took the name of the club, athletes and county from the south to the north of the country and across borders.
The Martial Arts Club of São Brás de Alportel also has training for children.
Kickboxing galas have been organized for several years, some charity galas, but it was in July 2014 that the 1st edition of Summer Fight Night was held.
