The Municipality of Silves bought five new electric machines for urban suction “Glutton” and delivered them, last Wednesday, June 5th, to the parish councils of Armação de Pêra, SB Messines and the parish union of Algoz and Tunes.
These five machines, which serve to support manual sweeping, were purchased for parishes that expressed the need to strengthen this area of urban cleaning.
In total, the Municipality of Silves has already purchased eleven machines of this kind.
As explained by the municipality, "this measure complements the delegation of powers celebrated last year with the councils and parish unions in matters of urban cleaning and management and maintenance of green spaces."
