The new GNR post in Quarteira will be inaugurated on Saturday, the 22nd, at 14 pm, in a ceremony presided over by the Minister of Internal Administration, Eduardo Cabrita.
The new GNR facilities in this city are located in the building of the former Fire Department, which has since been restored, after an investment of around 950 euros.
This work is part of a set of interventions included in the protocol signed between the Loulé municipality and the Guarda Nacional Republicana/Ministry of Internal Administration.
«Located next to the Calçadão, in a central area of the city of Quarteira, this building was the target of expansion works and converted into a space with excellent conditions to serve Quarteira, whose population triples in the summer months», illustrated the City Council of Loulé.
"Improving the security of residents, visitors and their property is the main objective of what is more modern equipment and adapted to the current functions of this security force and its military", concluded the municipality.
