Students from Olhão went to Lithuania to learn more about interactive tools

Students had the opportunity, throughout the week, to have contact with various interactive tools

Three students and two teachers from the José Carlos da Maia School, in Olhão, were, from the 27th to the 31st of May, in Šiauliai (Lithuania), in another mobility of the Erasmus+ project “School is cool but IT rules”.

This project, focused on the use of ICT in the classroom, involves five countries: Portugal, Lithuania, Spain, Czech Republic and Romania, promoting the acquisition of digital knowledge and skills.

Students thus had the opportunity, throughout the week, to make contact with various interactive tools.

The stay was also filled with a tour of the capital, Vilnius, and visits to some of the country's iconic places, namely the “Hill of Crosses” - a Catholic pilgrimage center -, the castle of Trakai, located on an island in Lake Galvė, and the seaside resort of Palanga.

This experience brought to light the Villa de Chaimas Frankelis, in Šiauliai, a building from the beginning of the XNUMXth century, which offers a wide variety of exhibitions, concerts, film and music festivals, among others, and symbolizes the city's history in the period between wars and Jewish heritage and the Amber Museum in Palanga, surrounded by its interior Botanical Garden.

In addition to these experiences, there was also the traditional interaction between students and teachers from the various countries involved.
