Session at the Regional Directorate of Culture talks about "Copyright and Related Rights"

Initiative is promoted by the GDA Foundation (Management of Artists' Rights)

A session on “Copyright and Related Rights” takes place on the 24th of May, from 14 pm to 30 pm, in the Auditorium of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve, in Faro. 

In line with the mission of the GDA Foundation (Artist Rights Management) of valuing and dignifying the work and careers of artists - actors, dancers and musicians - as well as their human, cultural and social development, the GDA Foundation promotes, from free of charge, these actions to raise awareness and publicize about “Copyright and Related Rights”.

This initiative seeks to respond to multiple requests, presented by cultural and judicial agents.

In this context, «the creation of this initiative translates into an opportunity to acquire knowledge about the legislation that regulates the rights of artistic activity, where the fundamental questions about this legal universe will be explored and debated, in a simple and accessible way. demystify the inherent complexity of these themes", says the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.

For this purpose, the GDA Foundation has already established partnerships with various entities to organize this type of sessions, with emphasis on the protocol formed in 2018 with the Portuguese Bar Association and the collaboration in force with the Regional Directorates of Culture throughout the country.
