Quarteira serves “Petiscos do Pescador” to the sound of Toy

Entry is free

Seafood and fresh fish will be some of the “Petiscos do Pescador” that Quarteira will serve, from May 30th to June 2nd, at Praça do Mar, with the right to the participation of Toy.

This is an event that wants to “honor the local fishing community”, says Quarpesca – Association of Shipowners and Fishermen of Quarteira.

Snacks and fisherman are once again the protagonists of a party where the gastronomy and traditions of this old fishing village come together.

One of the highlights of this party is the traditional washing or dragging ashore, which takes place on June 2nd at 18 pm, at Quarteira Beach.

According to the organization, this «is increasingly a tourist attraction, for which the entire population is invited to participate in “pulling the net” to land where you can see the wealth that is still to be found in the waters that bathe Quarteira, through the quantity and quality of the fish that, year after year, is caught'.

The music program is vast and with free entry.

On Thursday, Remembers will join the party, at 22 pm, and on Friday Augusto Canário will spread his good mood. On Saturday, fado singers Ana Marques and Mário Saraiva take the stage (00:20) and the fun: Who is Bob.

Toy performs on Sunday and will animate these “Fisherman Snacks”.

The event takes place as part of the Fisherman's Day commemorations and is organized by Quarpesca, with support from the Loulé City Council and the Quarteira Parish Council.
