Odiana launches a questionnaire to create a creative tourism agenda

Questionnaire aims to assess the profile of the creative tourist

The Odiana association has just launched a questionnaire on creative tourism workshops in Baixo Guadiana, with the aim of later making an agenda of workshops that promote the territory's identity values «with a dash of creativity».

The questionnaire aims to assess the profile of the creative tourist, whether resident or visitor, and directly adapt the offer.

«The intention is (almost in a survey format), to adjust the workshops to the themes and characteristics selected by the respondents», explains Odiana.

"This questionnaire turns out to be a tool that speeds up work and ensures adherence to the initiative, with creative tourism favoring small groups (less than 10 participants), thus it will be possible to leverage an agenda that reflects the real interests of its target audience." adds.

"Instead of launching workshops that often do not correspond to the interests of users, we opted for the opposite, favoring reciprocity and involving the tourist in the workshop agenda", attests the Odiana association, adding that, "in this way, we guarantee interest, adhesion and a collaborative involvement from the first moment between the tourist and the promoters».

the quiz online will be available throughout the month of May. here

Afterwards, an analysis and correlation of the results will be made, which will result in a schedule of creative workshops until the end of this year. The form, which is available at Odiana's facebook page, will also be sent by email.

This inquiry follows the Odiana project “Oficinas do Saber Tradicional”, whose purpose is the tourist revitalization of the traditional activities of Baixo Guadiana through unique experiences that attract more tourists and involve the local community in the identity culture of that territory.

In this context, Odiana has already successfully held four workshops with the region's outstanding products, namely the traditional salt pans and the Algarvian breed goat.

This initiative is part of the Creatour project, which aims to pilot a research agenda focused on creative tourism in small towns and rural areas.

Creatour is coordinated by the Center for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra and financed by the Portugal 2020 Joint Activities Program (PAC).
