The Brazilian women's football team will do an internship, from May 22 to June 5, in Portimão, in preparation for the World Cup to be held in France.
The selection will use the Training Center and the official Portimonense field in this preparation. The team will also have access to the Penina Hotel & Golf Resort, where they will be staying.
“We chose the location due to its proximity to us in terms of customs such as language, environment and food. We will have in short distances, without large displacements for the athletes, the three training places and a great opportunity to already be in Europe to adapt to the time zone and the climate», explains Marco Aurélio Cunha, coordinator of Women's Teams, cited by website of the Brazilian Football Confederation.
During the World Cup, the women's team will move to another city following the game schedule.
On June 5th, Brazil will face Jamaica, in Grenoble. On the 13th, the team will face Australia, in Montpellier. The team ends its participation in the group stage against Italy, in Valenciennes, on 18 June.
