Hells Angels held in Algarve

Megaoperation runs from North to South of the country

At least 15 bikers from the Hells Angels group were arrested this Tuesday morning, 21 May, in the Algarve, Norte and Lisbon, according to SIC Notícias.

The TV channel states that these arrests arise within the scope of a “mega-operation” of the Judiciary Police.

According to a source linked to the process, cited by SIC Notícias, "eight elements of the group were detained in the Margem Sul de Lisboa, two in Cascais and one in Porto."

In this operation, the PJ has engaged about 100 inspectors, from North to South of the country.

At the last Motard rally of Faro, in July 2018, there were suspicions that the event could serve to reckoning between groups biker rivals Hells Angels and Los Bandidos, both strongly associated with organized crime and which already have a large presence in Europe.

That didn't happen, but there was, however, a major GNR operation to avoid clashes.

Also in March, but already this year, there was an invasion of about 20 bikers from the Hell Angels to a restaurant in Prior Velho (Loures), with the objective of attacking the rival group “Red&Gold”.
