dice games, cards, meeples and adventures for various tastes will delight board game lovers at the first edition of AlgarveCon, which will take place on the 6th and 7th of July at the regional delegation of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ), in Faro.
This will be an «unparalleled event below the Tagus», which will place the Algarve «on the national map of the Board Games Meetings», according to the association Sê Mais Sê Melhor, which organizes the event in partnership with Clube MTG Olhão and Canal From Youtube In Mira.
«AlgarveCon promises to give cards at the national level with the availability of more than 300 board games for all tastes in library mode. To this impressive toy library are added workshops, tournaments, prototypes demonstrations and other activities that promise to make the experience unique for the most enthusiastic board game players and even beginners», add the event organizers.
So, for two days, everyone will be able to «summon Liliana, in Magic The Gathering, fight dragons, in a Dungeons and Dragons adventure, escape from enigmatic rooms, in a mini escape room or command battalions in a Warhammer setting».
Even those who are little used to playing and do not know the rules of the games in depth can be present, as there will be volunteers “available to explain the games and activities, so that nothing fails”.
