A retired fisherman, around 80 years old, was found dead this Tuesday, May 14th, in the fishing port of Quarteira.
To what Sul Informação he found out, the victim is José Otilio, a retired fisherman, who was sleeping on a boat, moored at the Doca.
The man, who was found in the water already dead, had a bruise on his face.
According to the National Maritime Authority, “the alert was received by the picket of the Maritime Police of Faro, through a citizen who detected the body, and members of the Maritime Police of Faro, INEM and GNR».
The death was eventually declared at 19:35 pm, according to our newspaper.
The causes of death are still unknown. Emergency teams were activated for a possible drowning, but it is also suspected that a fall could have occurred, due to the man's bruise.
