This afternoon, Esperança de Lagos secured the title of the Algarve Football Association's first district division, by tying 0-0 with Moncarapachense, in Moncarapacho. Next season, the lacobrigenes will compete in the Portuguese Championship.
In a match that was a final, since, if the home team won, they would be champions, Esperança held the goalless goal, a result that was enough for Roberto Alberto's men to lift the cup.
