"Cataplay" comes to an end with two sessions in Faro

Show combines theater, music, dance and gastronomy, always with the cataplana as an aggregating element

The Cataplay show closes the Algarve tour with the last two exhibitions, this weekend, 18th and 19th of May, in Faro.

For Saturday, the 18th, the meeting is scheduled for 18:00, at the Municipal Museum, while, on Sunday, the “Cataplay” will be exhibited, at 19:00, at the Tertúlia Algarve restaurant. Both sessions are spoken in Portuguese and subtitled in English.

The second tour of this theater, music, dance and gastronomy show, which revolves around the cataplana and where recipes on human relationships or love are discussed, thus comes to an end, still with two last opportunities for those who do not want to miss pinch.

On stage, there are two characters in conflict – the famous Al-Chef and the Cook Marafada – who discuss among themselves the recipes of life, society, passion or love, while reflecting on the origins of the cataplana, this mysterious and unique utensil in the world.

At the end of this performance, which integrates the programming of the "365Algarve", the public is treated to a tasting of a cataplana, made by the team from Tertúlia Algarvia, the event's promoter.

Tickets for the show, which include the gastronomic experience, cost 10 euros for the general public and 8,5 euros for those under 30 and over 65.

There are also family tickets, at 25 euros, which guarantee admission to two adults and a child from six years of age. Tickets can be purchased here or on the day of the show, at the venue, from 17 pm.
